On the morning of May 7^th, 5 delegates from CFLC(College of Foreign Languages and Culture), Xiamen University(XMU), including Xu Qi, the Party Secretary of CFLC, Zhang Shengqiang, Deputy Party Secretary of CFLC and Liu Yue ,Vice Dean of CFLC, visited International College(IC), XMU. Members of the party leadership of IC and relevant staff of the office participated in the discussion and exchange.

Zhou Lei, Secretary of IC first extended a warm welcome to Xu Qi and other delegates of CFLC, and hoped to take this opportunity to strengthen exchanges, explore more possibilities for cooperation, and promote common development.

Tao Tao, Dean of IC highly recognized the banner role played by CFLC in the construction of language disciplines, and briefly introduced the characteristic of IC, the environment, cooperation programs and talent training. Combined with the actual needs, he put forward the idea of comprehensive cooperation in terms of teachers, language teaching, examinations, etc., hoping to jointly build an IELTS test center with CFLC in IC, so as to provide more convenience for students who are interested in studying abroad in IC and the surrounding areas.

Xu Qi, the Party Secretary of CFLC expressed her gratitude for the warm reception of IC, fully affirmed the achievements of IC in cultivating international talents, and briefly introduced the history, current situation, professional settings, and faculty of CFLC. She pointed out that in recent years, in order to meet the needs of international education development, CFLC has actively carried out social service work such as to provide lectures, classes and exams to the door, and hopes to work with IC to build IELTS center, so as to give full play to its expertise and provide students with more accurate and customized services.

The two sides conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the establishment of IELTS center in IC, the expansion of cooperation program and the deepening of practical cooperation.

After the meeting, Xu Qi and the other delegates visited the teaching facilities such as the language room and computer room of IC to learn about the characteristics and advantages of IC’s internationalization.
