On 5 April,2010,Dr. Stefano Harney,the vice-president of Business Department of Queen Mary,University of London,began a two-day visit to the International Department of Xiamen University.TheDean,ZhenTongtao and the office director Huang Guanhua of International Department on behalf made an agreement on the cooperative education of “2+2” business arrangement of undergraduate course(“2+2” Project hereinafter).Furthermore,the project of cooperative education of postgraduate and undergraduate & postgraduate was underway.

According to the agreement,students in the “2+2” Project will complete first two years in China,and continue the rest two-year study in Queen Mary, University of London after pass the interview.When pass all the required courses,the students will acquire a BA degree admitted by bilateral laws.

On the day 6th,Dr Stefano Harney met with the first group of students who participated in the project in Zhangzhou Campus.Dr Harney introduced the curriculum setup,information about their internationalized faculties and students.He inspired the students here to develop self-interest and talent and to be more innovative.Inresponse,the participants were all active and gave their answers on why they choose Queen Mary College.
