In the morning of May 11, 2016, the dean of the Business College of University of Central Lancashire Mr. Dharma Kovvuri, Ms. Sarah Johnston from the International Office and China manager Mr. Jifei Ge paid a visit to the International College. Both sides exchanged views on the detail of Hotel and Exhibition Management program.

The dean of the Overseas Education College/ the International College Prof. Tongtao Zheng and deputy dean Mr. Guanhua Huang met the delegation in the reception room of Kun Luan Building. During the meeting, Prof. Tongtao Zheng briefly introduced our college and some new cooperation projects. He affirmed the recent development of University of Central Lancashire and expressed his appreciation of the development of Hotel and Exhibition Management for being the top five in Britain for 10 consecutive years.

Mr. Dharma Kovvuri also introduced the history of University of Central Lancashire and its cooperation with some Chinese universities. He said University of Central Lancashire is one of the earliest universities that established cooperation with Chinese universities thus has a rich experience of cooperative program in China. Hotel and Exhibition Management program created a precedent of “2+1”system, the students can have their first year’s study in the International College and the rest two years in the University of Central Lancashire, so they can get Bachelor’s degree in three years. Besides, the University of Central Lancashire also has a close cooperation with Disneyland in the USandsome four-star and five-star hotels all over the world, thus creating lots of internship opportunities for the students. Hotel and Exhibition Management program involved one-year paid internship, which makes the students gain the valuable overseas working experience so that reinforce their employing competition.
