On the morning of October 16, Jivan met with the freshmen and sophomores of the art design and fashion management project of our school, and introduced the teaching features and curriculum of the jewelry design and jeweler major of the school. She said, as the UK first, Europe's first three jewelry design institute, the teaching level and achievement always stand in the forefront of contemporary jewelry design. She encouraged the students in Xiamen University to study hard and equip them in advance, in order to better in the next time to apply for this challenging course to study Birmingham City University.

In the afternoon, Jivan made a Workshop with the sophomore majoring in jewelry design in our college. Jivan explained to students what is creative thinking and how to carry out creative thinking training by means of combination of pictures and texts and cases. For example, He would like to enlighten students on what is measurement, what measurement work is available, and how to measure it. Then he would organize students to find interesting objects on campus for measurement, and then go back to the studio to draw pictures and do training. In this process, Jivan pointed out that the creation process and thinking logic of the work are very important, and suggested that students should actively expound their creativity and design concepts in class, and should adapt to express in English.

During this lecture, Jivan guided students on some works being created, and communicated with teachers from the art teaching and research group, and put forward many valuable suggestions for the jewelry teaching in our school.

In recent years, our school has cooperated with Birmingham City University in the 2+2 undergraduate study program, and has cooperated on the major of jewelry design and international jewelry marketing. The students have studied relevant courses in our college for the first two years. And from the third year, they studied at Birmingham City University for two years after they became an undergraduate.
