Studying aboard has been one of the dreams for Chinese students and so do I. Since I was a little kid, I always dreamed of studying abroad and experiencing different culture and life.

I am currently studying in the Northeastern University. Northeastern University is located in Boston, a northeastern city of the United States which has long history and deep culture. Boston is a city with a strong learning atmosphere. Harvard University, MIT are located in the city as well. The Northeastern University campus is situated in the downtown so the transportation is very convenient. Ranking of the Northeastern University has been risen from 69 last year to 58 this year which implies the university has a great potential. My major in the Northeastern University is Leadership.

I have been in the United States for one year and I feel a lot. The differences of culture and lifestyle brings me a lot of troubles, but all these difficulties can be conquered as long as you have the patience. These setbacks are very good opportunities to practice and improve yourself. For the students who are about to go abroad, I want to give you some advice based on my experiences. First of all, you have to work hard on English because it is an indispensable part of the overseas education. Secondly, you have to be ready to face all kinds of difficulties. Studying in a foreign country means that you cannot rely on your parents and you have to do everything by yourself. No matter what kind of difficulties you are going to meet, you need to be calm, thoughtful and patient. All the difficulties will be knocked down. Finally, I hope every student will have a memorable life of studying abroad and lay a solid foundation for your future career.
